His Majesty the King Welcomes the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam

PHNOM PENH: His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia, welcomed Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam for an official state visit to Cambodia.

This royal meeting was held at the Royal Palace of Cambodia on Monday morning, 14 November 2022.

Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'Izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei Darussalam began a state visit to Cambodia on Monday.

According to a press release from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam held a court hearing with His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, at the Royal Palace.

The Sultan and Prime Minister Hun Sen also held a bilateral meeting at the Peace Palace on Monday, and then preside over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral consultations.

The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam also laid a wreath at the Independence Monument and paid tribute to the late former King Norodom Sihanouk at his monument.

The state visit of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Brunei and Cambodia this year.
